PACT is announcing the opening for a Center Based Transporter for the Beardstown center. This position is full-time, part year. Hours will vary depending on the bus routes. Starting pay is $17.96 per hour. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Requires education equivalent to completion of the 12th grade and be 21 years of age. 

Requires proof from Illinois driver’s license facility of three years consecutive driver’s license in Illinois, with no violations. 

Requires, if does not already have, the ability to obtain an Illinois School Bus Driver’s Permit within four months of hire. 

Requires ability and willingness to follow and comply with written and verbal directions, assignments, and instructions from appropriate Supervisory staff. 

Requires the ability to drive program vehicles and/or personal vehicles to and from the homes of clients for medical and dental examinations, or other program activities. Requires a valid Illinois driver’s license, an Illinois school bus drivers’ permit, reliable transportation, and proof of agency requirements for automobile insurance. 

Requires the ability to sit for long periods (2-4 hours) while riding in and driving vehicles. 

Requires the ability to tolerate varying weather conditions and temperatures in transportation of clients. 

Requires the ability to pass a medical examination certifying freedom from communicable disease, and drug screening upon offer of employment and annually thereafter. 

Requires the individual to give consent, at any time while operating agency vehicles, to chemical test(s) for the purpose of determining alcohol level in the driver’s blood. (Test resulting in alcohol concentration of more than 0.00 shall result in the cancellation of the school bus driver permit).

PACT for West Central IL is seeking applicants for Early Head Start Center-Based Teachers for our Center in Quincy, Illinois.

These are full-time positions, Monday through Friday, year-round. No Nights or weekends,

Starting pay is $19.54 per hour, with extra for college degree. Qualifications include:

A) Must be 19 years of age or older, and

B) Have Associate, Bachelor, or an advanced degree in Early Childhood Education and be trained (or have equivalent coursework) with a focus on infant/toddler development; or

C) Have a degree in a related field and 21 hours in Early Childhood with experience teaching infants & toddlers and be trained (or have equivalent coursework) with a focus on infant/toddler development: or

D) Completion of the Infant/Toddler credentialing program of the CDA National Credentialing Award System with a current credential as an Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate, completion of 12 semester hours or equivalent quarter hours in courses directly related to child care and/or child development from birth to age 6, and proof of two years (3120 clock hours) child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center.

  • Implement developmentally appropriate activities for infants and toddlers in alignment with Early Head Start guidelines.
  • Create and execute lesson plans that promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing environment conducive to early childhood learning.
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children’s holistic development.
  • Utilize effective classroom management techniques to ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Continuously assess and monitor children’s progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
